Fits (engine/year matters — read carefully): Fits vehicles equipped with the 42RLE 4-speed automatic: Jeep Wrangler TJ 2003-2006 (2.4L/4.0L), Wrangler JK 2007-2011 (3.8L - 2012+ JK switched transmissions, not compatible), and Liberty KJ/KK 2003-2012 (3.7L). The Dodge Nitro 2007-2011 (3.7L) shares this same pack. One OEM pack design covers the full 2003-2012 42RLE run per the Mopar catalog (04800171AA, supersedes 5143151AA). Confirm your transmission is a 42RLE and match the number stamped on your original pack before ordering.
Important: 42RLE ONLY — the similar-looking A604/41TE and 62TE solenoid packs do NOT interchange (different transmission families). Connector variations have been reported on early units — match the plug and part number (04800171AA/5143151AA) to your original before install. Sold as inspected good used take-out, not bench-tested; replace filter and refill with ATF+4 at install. Early-build 2003 Libertys may still have the 45RFE (the 42RLE changeover was mid-2003) - 45RFE solenoid packs do NOT interchange. Verify your transmission is a 42RLE before ordering.
