Fits (engine/year matters — read carefully): Ford / Mazda CD4E (Mazda LA4A-EL) four-speed front-wheel-drive automatic, 1997 and up: Ford Contour, Escape and Probe; Mercury Cougar, Mystique and Mariner; Mazda 626, MX-6 and Tribute.

Important: Casting RFF7, 1997 and up — the 1994-1996 CD4E valve bodies differ, so read the casting on your own unit first. The CD4E is known for worn valve bores (especially the pressure regulator and bypass clutch control circuits) causing erratic shifts; this is a good used untested core, not a remanufactured or bore-corrected unit, so inspect it and have your rebuilder check the bores before final assembly. Solenoid block is not included.
