Mercedes 722.6 NAG1 Oil Pump Body With Gears Cast 0320 W5A580 5-Speed Used
Used OEM unit pulled from an inspected donor transmission, cleaned and visually inspected before listing. Photos show a representative unit of this exact part and variant — see the fitment and casting notes below to confirm your match.
OEM / interchange references (verify against your casting/tag):
Fits (engine/year matters — read carefully): Front (input) oil pump body with gears out of a Mercedes-Benz 722.6 five-speed automatic, casting suffix 0320 (Mercedes A 220 277 03 20). The 722.6 was fitted to Mercedes-Benz rear-drive cars and SUVs from roughly 1996 through 2014 - C-Class (W202/W203), E-Class (W210/W211), S-Class (W140/W220/W221), CLK, CLS, SL and SLK, ML (W163/W164), GL, R-Class and G-Class - behind M112 3.2L/3.7L V6, M113 4.3L/5.0L/5.5L V8, M272 3.0L/3.5L V6, M273 4.6L/5.5L V8, and OM647 2.7L I5, OM648 3.2L I6 and OM642 3.0L V6 CDI diesels.
Important: Four things to check on your own pump before you order. (1) THE CASTING SUFFIX - this is the big one. Buffalo/BEC stocks three 722.6 pump bodies that are the same diameter, same bolt pattern and look identical in photos: cast 0120, cast 0220 (Mercedes 140 277 02 20) and cast 0320 (Mercedes 220 277 03 20). This one is 0320. Pull your pump and read the raised/stamped number on the body - only the last four digits matter. Ordering by year and model instead of by casting is how buyers end up with the wrong one. (2) BUSHING VS BEARING - the 722.6/722.9 pump body was built with a plain bushing in the center converter-hub bore, and later with a caged needle bearing after Mercedes had bushing spin-out problems. Look straight into the center bore: a smooth bronze/brass sleeve is bushing style, visible caged rollers is bearing style. Match what came out of your unit.
