Supplier grade is "good used" — cleaned and inspected, not remanufactured. NOT included: 4-5-6 friction plates, steel plates, wave plate, backing/apply plate, snap rings and retaining rings, the piston dam and its seals, the ring-tower sealing rings, the 4-5-6 clutch hub, and the input shaft. Anything visible in the photos beyond the bare drum ships as-is and should not be assumed to be part of the sale unless the photos clearly show it.

Fits (engine/year matters — read carefully): This is the Gen 1 "second design" 3-5-Reverse / 4-5-6 clutch drum (housing) for the GM Hydra-Matic 6T40 and 6T45 six-speed transaxle — the aluminum drum with 36 outer lugs for the 3-5-reverse clutch and the four-plate 4-5-6 clutch pack, which GM released for transmissions built on or after 11/30/2009 (GM/ACDelco 24253300). In practical terms that is the 2010 and 2011 model years, and the hard cutoff is the transmission build date, not the model year.

Important: These 6T40/6T45 drums all look nearly identical from ten feet away and there are at least four different ones. Before you order, do these checks on your own drum. (1) Count the outer lugs on the 3-5-reverse clutch section — this drum has 36. If yours has 24 outer lugs and a five-plate 4-5-6 pack, you have the Ford 6F35 drum, which is a different part. The 6T30 drum is also different. (2) Count the 4-5-6 friction plates. This Gen 1 drum runs FOUR frictions with a wave plate. If your unit runs FIVE frictions with no wave plate, you have the 2012-up Gen 2 drum and this will not work. (3) Look at the ring tower on the input hub and count the sealing rings — Gen 1 (this part) has FOUR rings, Gen 2 (2012-up) has THREE.
